For the Post Only Options 1 & 2, just:
1. Send us an
email with your
résumé in Word
format - attached. Choose option one or two, and let us know your page style preferences (See the
Samples page).
2. Go to one of our affiliated registrars to register your domain name:
VERY IMPORTANT: If you've chosen Option 2, please let us know your domain logon and password so we can log on to post
and build your resume. Once we're complete, you can change your password to whatever you'd like.
3. Order your personal business cards (we found them free at
www.vistaprint.com) making sure you specify your
new domain name as the
web address and email address on the
cards.
4. For option 1, when we send you your actual URL for your résumé web site, record that name because you'll use it in the next step.
5A. For option 1, once registered, use the URL we sent you to activate Domain Forwarding.
- Domain Direct and GoDaddy call it Domain or URL Forwarding.
Where possible, also specify "masking." Domain Direct calls it "URL Keeper."
5B. For option 2, domain forwarding or "masking" is not necessary since you'll be hosting your resume on your own web
server space.
6. Once registered, go to the Email server for your
new domain name, and under preferences, choose
email forwarding and have all the mail for that account forwarded to your main ISP mail account (e.g.,
your-name@yourisp.com).
