To get your resume past spam filters,
|
send it in plain text in the body of an E-mail, not as an attachment. Send it to one company at a time.
Avoid words that spam filters search for, such as free and cash. Don't use colored backgrounds. Don't use
an E-mail address containing a lot of numbers -- spam typically contains numbers in the subject line.

Better resumes for senior managers.
|
There is no need to stick to one page anymore -- let potential employers know all the companies you have worked
for, how many people you have managed and any recognition you have received. Illustrate your successes with numbers when possible
-- how much revenues and profits rose by, how much your firm's stock price increased under your management, how much you saved
through cost-cutting. Put highlights on the left side of the page -- where people look for them. List your contact information,
including phone numbers and E-Mail addresses, so that you can be reached anytime.
