Socially

Whenever you go to your next meeting, network gathering, job fair, or social gathering, just take along your personal business card. Besides your name, address, and phone numbers, your card also has the web address of your online résumé and email address. While you are talking about your expertise and qualifications, just hand them your card, explaining that the URL is where they can find out much more detailed information about you.

I mean, how many times have you been out and about, wishing you had a résumé with you when the talk got around to potential opportunities and openings. Since most everyone is in the habit of carrying a business card, this then becomes a no brainer. Your personal business card IS your gateway to your résumé.

All you need is a URL or web address with domain forwarding, an email account, personal business cards, and a resume. We will post and host your résumé online for you.

TECHNICALLY

We will build your résumé using either our own hosting service or yours, depending on the option you have chosen. Now, the resulting URL could be a rather lengthly one, one you would not want to use on a business card. That's where Domain Forwarding and "masking" come in.

Once you have your own domain name fully registered, with domain forwarding and "masking," then you log on to your Domain Registrar account and activate domain forwarding by entering in the name of the URL we provide you.
(Note: under the 2 Comprehensive options, we'll do this for you).

Then, when someone enters your domain name address off your business card into their internet browser address window, your address will be forwarded to the hosting service where your resume is actually stored.

For example, your resume physically resides at http://hosting.service.com/baseaccountname/yourresumeonline.htm. Your domain name is http://www.your-name.info.  With domain forwarding, when someone enters www.your-name.info into their internet browser, they are forwarded to http://hosting.service.com/baseaccountname/yourresumeonline.htm, and with what's called "masking," your domain name will remain in the browser address window instead of our long one. See our sample résumé as an example of a "masked" site, then see the same, unmasked sample as an example an "unmasked" site. By noticing the addresses in the browser window, you'll see what I'm talking about.

HOW TO I GET PAID?

Basically, I'll invoice you once you're satisfied, and you can pay by either check, money order, or PayPal. In order for me to get started, I'll need an email from you stating your intentions. I'll email you back with a clear delineation of the work to be performed, and those 2 emails will form the basis of our contractual agreement (along with any subsequent emails that may modify the work to be performed).

So, depending on your option, I'll just invoice you, and you can send a check, money order, or use PayPal. If you decide to use PayPal, you actually pay up front, and PayPal notifies me of your payment. But don't forget to email me your resume. info at your-resumeonline.com.

I cannot accept credit cards right now (except if you use a PayPal account). If you use PayPal, use the Buy Now buttons on the What Does it Cost page, and for a full explanation of the options and prices.
